“Remarkable goal” – A lot of Newcastle United fans are talking about Papiss Demba Cisse’s wonder goal against Chelsea in 2012.
This was the last time the Magpies beat Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge, and Cisse scored a remarkable double, including a stunning strike from around 35-yards-out near the touchline.
It is a goal that will never be forgotten in the Premier League, although sadly, it means many fans have forgotten Cisse’s first that night – which was also fantastic.
The 34-year-old, who now plays for Alanyaspor, spoke to The Athletic this week about that goal, and he said it is all anyone ever talks about – despite the fact he has scored over 160 throughout his career.
It is a moment that will live with a lot of Newcastle fans forever.
Many Toon supporters can’t believe Cisse scored that goal.
