Is it an Isak Day?

|

Could it be Newcastle are finally set to land one of their eagerly awaited targets?

News from El Dario Vasco states an offer has been accepted and the deal is imminent. The report states that Real Sociedad has sold the Swede to Newcastle United in what is their most expensive deal ever, and becomes a club record.

Newcastle United have allegedly secured  Alexander Isak after submitting an irrefutable offer to Real Sociedad. Real Sociedad fans will not be happy with the deal as the club loses one of its most important assets, seven days before the transfer market ends,  it only has Jon Karrikaburu as an available forward after the injury of Carlos Fernández.

Is Isak an Aye?

Yes- He is a massive signing, get it done

NO- He is another Ekitike and won't sign

The Swedish striker will move to  Newcastle for an amount reported to be around €70m, becoming the most expensive sale in the history of Real Sociedad. In addition, the figure could be increased to 75 million because there are five million more in add-ons, it is also reported in the article that Real have negotiated a 10% of any future sale amount.

Newcastle has been chasing after Isak all summer and finally, and to the Toon fan’s delight, the Magpies may have clinched it after making the hugely improved and formal offer for the Swede. La Real reportedly have agreed to accept it.

Alexander Isak will be leaving for the Toon after 4 seasons as a Real Sociedad player. The striker arrived from Borussia Dortmund in a deal that cost 10 million euros, so Real Sociedad recovers their investment by 700%. Not bad business if you can get it and reminiscent of when we sold Andy Carroll.

Isak is a highly rated young forward and would slot right into the team, especially with Callum Wilson seemingly again picking up Injuries at the weekend.

This, if it unfolds as true, is a massive statement from the club and sets them up for a great onward season, pushing on from the unbeaten start we currently enjoy.
