Crystal Palace v Newcastle United – Team Lineups

|

Crystal Palace host Newcastle United in the late kick-off this evening at Selhurst Park, live on Sky Sports. Kick-off is 5:30pm.

With under an hour to go until kick-off, the team news is in and it’s good news for Newcastle fans as Bruno Guimaraes makes the team after his injury scare last week against Fulham.

That means it’s “as you were” for the Magpies as Eddie Howe names the same eleven that took on Fulham on Sunday.

Alexander Isak and Allan Saint-Maximin keep their places on the bench with Elliot Anderson taking Chris Wood’s spot in the squad.

Meanwhile, Patrick Vieira has dropped Michael Olise to the bench after his midweek heroics against Manchester United. They still have Eberechi Ezi, Wilfred Zaha and Odsonne Edouard who could cause us problems.

But with what is essentially our full strength first-team out today, I shouldn’t expect Newcastle to struggle too much in South London. It’ll be a tight game in terms of the scoreline, but I think Newcastle will be comfortable enough throughout.

Hopefully we’ll see Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson on the pitch together again at some point like we did last week against Fulham. The ultimate goal has to be to have them both on the pitch together as a regular thing as it could become a devastating partnership in the Premier League.
