Opinion: First One Flung Out Of The Newcastle United Door

|

It seems as though the Mike Ashley debate, argument, call it what you will have been ongoing for as long as time in memorial.

The never-ending media headlines have finally made my head go into a spin. I am exhausted, I am at the end of my tether. I am at my wit’s end – I can’t take it anymore.

I support Newcastle United because I want to. I support the Toon because my family and I originate from Wallsend. My father never took me to any United games; it was me who chose the club. Or should I say the club picked me (see, I’m flummoxed – I’m in a kerfuffle).

Decision

I have decided to make this article the final one with the words; Mike Ashley contained within. There is more to this club than the idiot who owns it. In other words, I am looking forward to the day when I write headlines about the time when he is no longer connected with the club.

Football

Sometimes one can forget the reason why NUFC exists. We are a struggling Premier League club who, after seven fixtures can’t find a win for love nor money.

We have an essential fixture this weekend. We need to start picking up points. We deserve to sit at the top table with the big boys. After all, we are a big club, aren’t we?

Is something going to give?

A string of poor results will inevitably put pressure on any manager. Even Pep Guardiola is not immune to the sack.

Poll

If you vote can you please consider with your head and not your heart.

The poll will remain open until after the Manchester United game.
