Arsenal face a fight to keep hold of their hot commodity, William Saliba with several clubs interested in the 21-year-old centre-back.
Saliba spent the last campaign in Ligue 1 with Marseille where he picked up the Young Player Of The Year award, helping Marseille to a second place finish in the league behind Paris Saint-Germain.
Newcastle are one of four clubs interested in the Frenchman with Leicester, Napoli and Atletico Madrid also said to be circling, however, Arsenal are keen to keep hold of the youngster and are looking to extend his current deal according to The MailOnine.
Saliba arrived at The Emirates in 2019 for £27m but hasn’t yet made his way into the Arsenal first team, instead spending three seasons back in his native France during separate loans spells at St Etienne, Nice and Marseille.
Given his impressive form at Marseille, Mikel Arteta could be looking to give Saliba a chance in the first team, however, he will likely be looking for guaranteed first-team football having just broken into Didier Deschamps’ France squad. Newcastle would likely be able to offer more game time which could turn his head.
