More murmurs of discontent at NUFC

It’s clear to see that it is not a happy camp at Newcastle United at the moment and fresh reports suggest just how sour the mood is in the magpies’ dressing room.

The report comes from The Football Insider and most notably it claims that an experienced international has never seen anything compared to the current state of things on Tyneside.

This is extremely worrying to hear as a fanbase because when you look at the other sides in and around us in the battle to stay up, they appear to be all together and fighting for their respective clubs and the fact that this is not the case at United will surely come as a major disadvantage.

Another interesting part of the article claims that the players are worried that Steve Bruce may not lose his job even if the club are relegated to the Championship.

For most Toon fans the idea of finishing the season with Bruce at the helm will send shivers racing down their spines let alone if we go into the 2021/22 season in the Championship with the man who has masterminded our demise from mid table mediocrity.

This latest development is the latest that paints the current situation in a very negative light, earlier in the week the Daily Mail reported that Newcastle players were left bemused after Bruce decided to give them six days off from a possible nine in the aftermath of the horror show at the Amex.

The many noises that have followed the 3-0 defeat at Brighton have confirmed what Newcastle fans already knew, the players are not enjoying playing for Steve Bruce and there are several problems off the field that seem to be having a largely detrimental impact on how the lads are performing on the pitch.

Obviously the players are not blameless but you can hardly sack the first team squad and that means there is one obvious answer for how to try and right the wrongs of this season.

As seems to be the way at the moment, common tense points towards sacking Steve Bruce as being the best plan of action in order to lift mood and improve methods as we enter the most crucial run in of the season.

Unfortunately, Newcastle United don’t do common sense and Bruce is likely to remain which makes relegation seem a matter of when and not if.
