Switzerland international Fabian Schar hasn’t had the best of times since joining Newcastle United over the summer from Deportivo for an undisclosed transfer fee.

Manager Rafa Benitez has only called on him twice to start matches, one apiece in the Premier League and the EFL Cup but fitness shouldn’t be an issue as he has had three appearances from his country so far this year.
With a possible injury to Ciaran Clark to contend with, some fans are already hoping he gets his chance to impress this weekend as we face Brighton and Hove Albion and in the build-up to that game this Saturday, he took to social media to mark his return to the club following his involvement in the Swiss’ defeat to Belgium during the October international break.
