“It’s Nothing To Do With Grealish” – Miguel Almiron Laughs Off Idea That Grealish Spurred Him On

|

Miguel Almiron was handed his Player Of The Month award by Sky Sports’ Keith Downie who asked the cheeky question we’ve all been wanting to hear.

I’m sure you don’t need reminding, but just in case, back in the summer after winning the league, a drunken Grealish was posted online saying that Riyad Mahrez was substituted because he was “playing like Almiron”. A totally unprofessional and even more unnecessary swipe at our Paraguayan Dolmio Puppet look-a-like hero.

Just before handing the award to Almiron, Downie asked “Have the comments from Jack Grealish in the summer inspired you at all?”

Thank you, Keith. We’ve all been wanting to hear him speak about this since the day he made those comments.

Miggy did chuckle when he was asked but delivered a serious answer praising Grealish as a player and saying that it was all down to hard work: “I don’t think that anything Jack said has got anything to do with the great form and the performances that we’ve been showing as a group of players. Jack’s a great player, first and foremost, I wish him all the best as I always do, but this success is down to work, more work and even more hard work.”

See, Grealish? That’s how you show class, bonny lad.  Miggy’s now mugged you off both on and off the pitch.
