Lots of Newcastle fans have responded on Twitter to reports that a deal for Valentino Lazaro is not done.
According to the Daily Mail, Valentino Lazaro’s agent has confirmed that the Magpies are not the only team interested in signing the Austrian international, with RB Leipzig also allegedly showing interest.
The agent Max Hagymyr attended Newcastle’s win over Chelsea, and despite the club putting in a stellar performance and taking all three points, his mind is still not made up.
Hagymayr told FCInter1908.it: “I was in Newcastle and we had talks, but there is no agreement yet.
“As for the future, we’ll see what happens over the next few days. There isn’t just Newcastle, he has other options.”
The Magpies are wanting the 23-year-old on a loan deal, in an attempt to give the youngster more first-team opportunities than he is getting at the moment.
The right-sided winger has featured just six times in the league this season, registering just the one assist.
Steve Bruce’s side will more likely be focussed on his statistics from the previous season at Hertha Berlin which earned him his big move; he managed seven assists and three goals in 31 Bundesliga games – something which Newcastle fans would love if he could bring.
Unfortunately for the fans, the agent’s words seem to have stifled their hopes for this deal, with many suggesting that they are now going to be pipped to the deal.
