“Finally, top of something” – A lot of Newcastle United fans are stunned at the fact their team tops the table for offsides.
Newcastle have been caught offside 20 times this season with the next lowest Arsenal on 15.
This is not great for Steve Bruce’s men and shows that there is a lot of miscommunication going on between Newcastle’s forwards and it has annoyed a lot of Toon fans who cannot believe their side are top of this particular table.
Some are baffled because they can’t remember their side been in the opposition half for long enough to be offside.
The Toon have struggled going forward this season, and they need their forward players to start developing an understanding to stop this ridiculous number of offsides.
See the best of the reaction below.

Muto is about 15 of them!

19 were Muto on Saturday. Someone needs to educate him on the rules.

Pretty sure Mutö & Almirón cover at least 15 of these.

Miggy one off being 50% of those. Love the lad, always wil after his game against Argentina where he genuinely made Messi look shite in comparison. But he really needs to start improving before fans start treating him like they did thauvin

Almiron needs that rule explained to him

A lot of Toon supporters believe that Yoshinori Muto and Miguel Almiron are responsible for most of these offsides.

Other Newcastle supporters are delighted their side are top of the league. I have to say I found this to be hilarious.
How is that possible ????. Don’t we need to be in the opponents half to be offside????????♂️????

Finally, some Newcastle fans couldn’t believe this stat because they think they are barely in the opposition’s half.
