There have been more a few highlights for Newcastle so far this season, but perhaps the most significant facet of this term comes in the form of individual player performances. Rafael Benitez has managed to improve the squad as a whole this term, but that’s been led by brilliant individual displays, with a number of men, from defence to attack, stepping up to the plate.
Immediate examples are players like Fabian Schar and Salomon Rondon, but in recent weeks, one man that’s looked particularly impressive is Isaac Hayden. He’s been a regular throughout 2019, and having played practically every minute over the last few matches, he’s emerged as one of Benitez’s most trusted players.
Unsurprisingly, as a result of that, he’s become quite the fan favourite, and that’s been highlighted by what Newcastle fans are saying online.

Our club recently shared a few Tweets in celebration of Hayden, who is today (Friday) celebrating his 24th birthday. In response, plenty of Newcastle fans have made their feelings about him crystal clear, and the love for him is obvious.
See what fans have had to say below:
Incredible work rate and determination despite everything he’s had going on in his personal life recently! Lots of players could learn a thing or two from this young man’s attitude!
