“Hope the knee is ok” – A lot of Newcastle United fans wish captain Jamaal Lascelles all the best on his birthday, but they also hope his injury is not too bad.
The Toon captain turns 26 today and has a win to celebrate, even though; he did not play a significant role as he was substituted in the 20th minute with a knee injury.
The extent of his injury has not been revealed yet, but we are all hoping it is not too bad.
Lascelles has made 149 appearances for Newcastle in his time at the club, and as the captain of the club is not afraid to speak his mind.

He led the dressing room inquest after we were hammered 5-0 off Leicester City, and since then, we have only lost one match.
Lascelles is a superb leader, and without him, we would be worse off – so let’s hope he has a great birthday and is back on the field soon.
