EA’s hit game FIFA will be available to buy at the end of this month and this week the official Premier League ratings were released and Newcastle look like they have been hard done by.
Their highest rated card is 80 and is shared by Martin Dubravka and Miguel Almiron – while a few of Newcastle’s other star players such as Fabian Schar and Sean Longstaff appear to be criminally underrated.
The Swiss international, for example, received five inform cards last year and was consistently excellent for the Toon but he is rated at only 79 – which for context is lower than Chris Smalling.
Sean Longstaff only made nine appearances for Newcastle last year but will feel that his 72 rating is ridiculous especially considering he is only one point higher than Jack Colback.
A man who did not even make it into the Toon’s Premier League squad.
Certainly, many Newcastle fans are furious at the new ratings.

Bet you’ll see someone proper mediocre like McTominay scoring a 78+ rating. Poor Longstafff, you’ll be overlooked by everyone – show ’em what they’re missing

Many Toon supporters are annoyed at Schar’s and Sean Longstaff’s ridiculously low ratings, and they are making their feelings known to EA.

Other Newcastle fans can’t believe that Matt Ritchie has had his card downgraded despite having an excellent season at left-wing-back.
Overall, then it seems like EA have got the Newcastle ratings badly wrong.
