It’s been a tough season for Kenedy at Newcastle. The Brazilian moved to St. James’ Park for his second loan spell over the summer, and you would have thought that he would have excelled.
However, quite the opposite has happened.
His development appears to have taken a few steps backwards, as over the last few months, he’s been very poor. He hasn’t been able to make an impact defensively or offensively, and that’s in stark contrast to his form last year. That’s a real worry, as he was fundamental to our success last term.
Unsurprisingly, then, Newcastle fans aren’t too happy with him.

Indeed, the Magpies recently paid tribute to Kennedy on Twitter by wishing him a happy 23rd birthday. In response, most fans aren’t willing to pay him the same compliment, with many simply questioning the Brazilian amid his current form.
Clearly, fans expect more from him, and his birthday isn’t going to make them forget his recent displays. See below:
