Miguel Almiron is finally ready for selection for Newcastle, and ahead of our tie with Wolves on Monday, he’s delivered his verdict on whether he’s fit enough to feature.
Clearly, Almiron wants to play in the game, and he’s evidently sending a message to Rafael Benitez in the process. He wants the manager to know that he’s ready and willing to take part, and he’s clearly hopeful that he’ll get the nod.
Will that happen? Well, at this stage, it’s too soon to say. Being fit is one thing, but knowing your teammates and how they work is another thing entirely. It’s particularly important for his role, as he’ll be tasked with making the team tick.
Still, he’s certainly an upgrade on the other choices that Rafael Benitez has, and so if he feels as though he’s physically ready, maybe he’ll be thrown in at the deep end.
Thoughts?
