Premier League bosses spoke together via conference call as they debated the best way to finish the 2019/20 season, and they decided that they needed to delay the planned restart of the season.

UEFA have already announced that Euro 2020 will be delayed until 2021, meaning that leagues across Europe will get the opportunity to try and finish the season in the summer.

Time will tell to see if they can finish those efforts.
