Newcastle United fans are pulling their hair out in anticipation for our proposed takeover talks to go through.
As of Thursday, the Magpies are awaiting approval from the Premier League despite opposition from Amnesty International and beIN Sports, with an announcement waiting in the wings, according to The Shields Gazette.
This comes after the Daily Mail reported that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) that they were to be questioned by the authorities due to their history with human rights and pirate television.
Will this takeover go through?
Yes
No
This had led to former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan making his comments about the situation, answering those who are questioning the ethical side of the deal.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Jordan pointed the finger of hypocrisy at those responsible due to the fact that our government does business with Saudi Arabia and Heavyweight boxing champions Anthony Joshua fought there too, so wonders why there are critics of who Newcastle do business with.
Because of this, supporters agreed with what Jordan had to say and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was “sick of this bloke talking absolute sense”.
I’ve heard @Sjopinion10 a few times during the takeover saga and he’s been on point every time surprisingly

I hate to say it, but SJ is completely right here. In addition Sheffield United are owned by Saudis and also Man Utd have just brokered a deal. If they say no to the deal it’s that there against Newcastle United not against Saudi Arabia
