Plenty of Newcastle United fans have been reacting to comments made by former Magpies’ striker Papiss Cisse.
The former Senegal international told the Chronicle Live that he dreams of returning to the club as a fan and titled the St James’ Park faithful as the “best in the world”. He added that the Magpies are now a team that is close to his heart and is like no other club that he has ever played for.
Was Papiss Cisse a success for Newcastle?
Yes
No
Cisse was brilliant for us. He scored 13 goals in his first season. As I’ve previously said, this would be good enough to knock a faltering Joelinton out of today’s squad. He went on to score 44 goals overall in 131 appearances on Tyneside.
Predictably, supporters were delighted with Cisse’s comments and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he has “one love” for him, while another was reminiscing about the “good times” he had.
