“No service” – Many Newcastle fans not happy at Steve Bruce’s comments on front three

|

A lot of Newcastle United supporters are annoyed with Steve Bruce’s suggestion that his front three is misfiring.

Speaking in his press conference before the West Ham game, Bruce claimed that he might change the personnel or system to stop his front three from misfiring, which has not gone down well with many Newcastle fans.

It is true that between Joelinton, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Miguel Almiron, there has only been one goal and no assists.

Which for a strike force worth over £70m is shocking returns, but the main problem is not the front three – they are doing their best to create chances, but they need support from their teammates, and that is where Bruce’s system is not working.

Joelinton is often isolated – while Almiron and Saint-Maximin are separated from the rest of the Newcastle midfield and the wing-backs.

There is the possibility that Dwight Gayle will be brought in for his first start of the season, but will that mean Joelinton is dropped?

Or will Bruce try both of them up top?

It is unclear, but the Newcastle manager must find a solution to our goalscoring worries, and blaming the front three is not going to help.

See the best of the reaction below.
