Plenty of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a recent takeover update from the Daily Mail’s Craig Hope.
The Magpies correspondent relayed quotes from Richard Masters’ appearance in the virtual House of Commons on Tuesday where the Premier League CEO interestingly revealed that illegal pirate streaming services, beoutQ, was no longer in operation in Saudi Arabia.
He also claimed that crown prince and de facto ruler Mohammed bin Salman was not directly involved in the takeover, which will perhaps come as a surprise to many.
Do you think the takeover will be approved this week?
100%!
Nope!
It’s led to members of the St James’ Park faithful discussing such developments on Twitter, some believe that the process may “finally” be coming to an end whilst others were becoming more positive about the prospects of the takeover being approved by the PL.
The decision has, of course, been in their hands for the best part of three months now and with the summer in sight, it’s ultimately time for them to make that call.
Masters himself wants it to conclude soon, so let’s hope it actually is.

Indeed and let’s face it. If it was going to be rejected for anything we’ve already heard about, it would have been rejected by now. #CANS

I must admit I’m more optimistic after reading that

Sounds positive and we would all be happy if someone just came out and said we have identified issues that we need to resolve prior to approving. That’s all we need the knowledge it will be done.

I’m very confident now like. Wasn’t last week.
