Perhaps someone should remind those in charge of our fine club that this season the summer transfer window closes on August 9th and not at the end of the month.
The reason I’ve this fact out is that the probable sale of Aleksandar Mitrovic to Fulham appears to be dragging on far longer than we all anticipated.
The latest we heard were that the two clubs were, when it comes to the players value, some £2 million adrift.
As a result, Fulham are left waiting for Newcastle to drop their price whilst Newcastle are waiting for Fulham to raise their bid.
But, in doing so, Newcastle run the risk of not being able to move the player, who is clearly not wanted by Rafael Benitez, on.
If that were to be the case, then the funds the sale would provide would not be able to be spent improving our squad.
The ongoing situation is, on the social media networks, claiming numerous comments.
One of which:
Fingers crossed
Did you see the footage of him arriving at the Newcastle yesterday
Yikes
Tho many say he flew to Portugal for there preseason— Marty Ward ???? (@martyw82) July 27, 2018
Indicates Mitrovic was far from happy at having to return to Newcastle, with the above being supplemented by:
It was painful to watch, couldn’t even smile for the kids. Confident it’ll go through. NUFC simply covering all bases, plus hoping to push the price up.

But, returning to the stand-off when it comes to the fee, the following sum up the supporters’ frustration:
I think FFC will pay whatever in the end, it’s a no brainier. They won’t want to miss out.

Are you as confident as the above poster?
Delving into the Fulham side of things;
Im@sure they’ll be a compromise! We’ll get him I’m sure.

Now that does make sense, let’s hope it happens sooner rather than later!
