Newcastle ‘Primed’ For Ziyech Loan Offer

|

Newcastle are ready to make a loan offer for Chelsea winger, Hakim Ziyech, it has been claimed. The Moroccan World Cup star has been a bit part player for the Stamford Bridge outfit this season, and the recent arrivals of Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk are likely to push the former Ajax man further down the pecking order.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, transfer expert Dean Jones said: “The Madueke deal will probably trigger the exit of Hakim Ziyech, so that’s the next situation to look out for. Newcastle are primed with an offer to take him on loan.”

Ziyech has endured a tumultuous time of it at Chelsea. The 29-year-old joined the blues for €40 from Ajax in 2020 but has managed just 6 goals in 56 league appearances, a disappointing return from such a forward-thinking player.

Newcastle are on the lookout for more attacking options, with the recent 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace making it three games out of four without a goal. Ziyech would probably not be the answer to the current goal-scoring woes on Tyneside, but he is more than capable of creating goals for others and could thrive under the guidance of Toon boss, Eddie Howe.

It is thought that the likes of Everton and Jose Mourinho’s Roma are also interested in the 50-time Moroccan international, but being involved in Newcastle’s exciting top-four challenge, and the promise of more first-team football, may swing things in the Magpies’ favour.
