Newcastle Outcast’s Move To Turkey Will Not Be A Permanent Deal – Report

|

Olay are reporting that Henri Saivet’s switch to Bursaspor is close to being finalised, but the agreement is for a season-long loan deal rather than a permanent transfer.

We have been looking to offload the 27-year-old for quite a while and since Rafa Benitez’s arrival as manager, he has spent 18 months away on loan at other clubs.

If this report from the Turkish news outlet is true, it means Saivet could well be set for another temporary move. The Senegalese international still has three years remaining on his contract at St James’ Park, after being given a five and a half year deal back in January 2016.

Despite having been with us for two and half years, the midfielder has played just eight games in total for the club, scoring his only goal in a 3-2 win over West Ham last season.

Saivet’s move to Bursaspor could be completed today or tomorrow, according to Olay, with the Super Lig side agreeing to pay £15,000 a week towards the player’s wages.
