The club have confirmed that we have signed forward Yannick Toure from Young Boys, revealing that we beat off a “string of other clubs” to the teenager’s signature.
The Swiss Under 18 international will head straight into the Under 23 setup under Ben Dawson. The 17-year-old can also play out wide, as well as a central striker.
Toure had been with Young Boys since the age of 15 and looks to have an exciting future in the game so we’ll see how he develops playing in Premier League 2 over the course of the season.
The striker wasn’t the only player that the club have recruited for the Under 23s. Rosaire Longelo has also joined after having impressed on trial for the under 23s earlier this summer.
The 18-year-old spent over ten years in West Ham’s youth setup, but after having been released by the Hammers, he will be looking for a fresh start in the North East.
