According to Sport Bild, via journalist Manuel Veth, Newcastle have an option to buy Nabil Bentaleb for €10m (£8.7m), but due to the ongoing situation it is likely they will decide against activating that clause.
It is not a surprising move given finances could be restricted this summer, and the Algeria international hasn’t exactly impressed since joining in January.
He has made six appearances in all competitions without registering a goal or an assist. In fact, a WhoScored average rating of 6.68 shows how mediocre he has been, particularly when one considers that he has averaged just 0.7 dribbles per league game.
Should we sign Bentaleb permanently?
Yes
No
In addition, his arrival has led to a reduction in Isaac Hayden’s game time, and that may have contributed to the 25-year-old revealing that he has recently become unsettled at St. James’ Park.
That, combined with the fact that there are other players out there available for us to sign, means that the club would be making the right decision in avoiding the purchase of Bentaleb, and many fans seem to agree with the decision.
Thank god

Good. His attitude stinks. He’s been awful on the pitch. Absolute dead wood of a footballer
