Lots of Newcastle fans have replied to a tweet from the Rochdale match when Joelinton got his name on the score sheet.
It hasn’t been the easiest of seasons for the Brazillian forward, with him being booed in the first match against Rochdale, with some fans even singing that he wasn’t fit to wear the shirt.
Despite this, he has been able to bounce back and get a goal in the return fixture – Newcastle’s fourth in their emphatic 4-1 victory over the League One side.
This may have only been Joelinton’s second goal of the campaign in 24 appearances, however, after his confidence must’ve taken a big fall this could have brought it back up again.
Would you start Joelinton against Chelsea?
Yes
Nope
It’s said that Newcastle are also searching for a striker in this window, but this goal could come as a timely reminder that the forward has a lot more to give.
Here are what some fans were saying about the forward’s goal once it went in…

This wasn’t one which will go down as the biggest in United’s season, however, it was refreshing for fans to see so many players back within the first-team. Jamaal Lascelles, Allan Saint-Maximin and Matt Ritchie all featured, so that will give fans a bit of confidence going into the next games.
The next two Premier League games are tough in Chelsea and Everton, so the club could do with everyone behind them as they sit just six clear of relegation.
