The third kit for the new season was announced today and, as you can imagine, most of the comments on Twitter weren’t about the kit itself, but about the lack of transfer activity.
Still, the shirt from Puma was also the subject of some debate. The colour is described as a “Blue Caracao” by the kit manufacturer, with navy blue and white “accents” on the shorts and socks:

Fans were mostly trying to make as many jokes about loan deals as they could about the new design:

Can I loan it with a view to buy depending on future clauses? I.e sign more players.

Do I have to sell last seasons shirts to buy this?

Verdict:
If I’m honest, I am not particularly concerned about the new kit. The comments from Rafa about transfers were a lot more concerning. Considering the amount of money the club have received from the Premier League in terms of TV money, it really is frustrating.
In a tweet earlier today, Chronicle journalist Mark Douglas hints that “internal politics” between Ashley and Benitez could be playing a role, and with contract talks having stalled, it seems things might not be resolved before the end of the transfer window.
