Inter Milan Could Sell Striker To Newcastle For Just £20m

|

Inter Milan are about to find themselves overrun with strikers with Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala inbound. Another striker likely to sign a permanent contract is Lazio’s Joaquin Correa who spent last season on loan at Inter.

However, CaughtOffisde are reporting that if Inter were to make that move permanent, it’s likely that they will look for a quick sale with Newcastle currently the only club “on the horizon” who would take the Argentine striker for a cut-price £20m.

Correa scored 6 goals in 26 games for Inter last season. That might not sound like a fantastic return but Correa didn’t complete 90 minutes in any game last season being used mostly as a substitute. He was also deployed mostly as a second striker, which suggests he would be comfortable playing alongside Wilson as opposed to instead of.

After pulling out of the deal for Ekitike, Dan Ashworth is now pursuing other options, and at £20m, Correa could be seen as a great option to fill that gap. He’s already an established Argentinian international so has experience of playing at the top level. He could be a great signing.
