Hugo Ekitike is finally set to be a Newcastle player as several sources on twitter have claimed that a five year deal has been agreed between the club and the player, with the deal between the clubs to be sorted out before we get cast iron confirmation.
Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to break the news saying: “Hugo Ekitike has agreed a five year deal with Newcastle. Now it’s about final details to be discussed with Reimes before deal completed.
“Talented French striker was on BVB list but Newcastle have been pushing for months after January negotiations.”
The fee is expected to be around €30m plus add-ons.
This signing will be an excellent start to the transfer window for Newcastle and a great signal of intent from the club. Let’s hope it’s the first of many.
