A lot of Newcastle United fans have delivered a harsh verdict on Christian Atsu after Darren Bent spoke to the Football Insider about him.
The former Sunderland man believes that the 27-year-old is going to struggle to get back into the side because both Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron are playing so well that they can’t be dropped.
Bent, however, believes that Atsu will accept why he isn’t in the side and look to continue trying to make an impact from off the bench.
Is Bent a good pundit?
Yes
No
The Ghanaian, who is rated at £5.4m, started the season well with two assists and has featured in ten league matches this season, but he currently can’t find a way into the starting XI and will have to make do with a place on the bench – which is where many Newcastle fans think he belongs.
