“You can’t change that side” – A lot of Newcastle United fans have assertively stated that they want Matty Longstaff to continue in midfield alongside his brother Sean.
NUFC 360 started a debate on Twitter about whether Steve Bruce should continue to play the Longstaff’s together in the Toon’s engine room.
The overwhelming response was that Matty and Sean should be starting together on Saturday.
I have to say I don’t see how it is even a discussion.
The pair of them were fantastic against the Red Devils, and with Isaac Hayden still banned, I don’t see how anyone else could play over Matty.
Ki Sung-yeung is a solid squad player, but Matty has scored more goals in one game than Ki has in a year for the Toon.
Also, the two Geordie midfielders together was a real boost for a lot of Newcastle fans, and for that reason, I think Matty should continue alongside his brother for at least the next two games.
Certainly, these Newcastle fans think Matty and Sean should continue.

Hayden suspended, Ki and Shelvey haven’t shown they are good enough in a long time now. I know it was only one game but if something’s working surely you have to stick with it.

Have to play Longstaffs played well last match and is probably one of few positives around the club at the moment
