Ekitike Drops Hint On His Future

|

Newcastle’s long-running pursuit of Reims’ young striker, Hugo Ekitike might finally be at an end as reports claim that the French star wants to remain at Reims unless Barcelona or Real Madrid come knocking.

Hugo Ekitike has informed Stade de Reims boss Oscar Garcia that he wants to stay at the club – just weeks after Newcastle United had a bid accepted for the highly-rated striker, according to The Chronicle.

This is the biggest indication yet that his representatives are filling his head with magic. That’s not to say that Ekitike isn’t good enough to play for those teams, but it’s likely such a move would be a couple of years away.

Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund were credited with an interest in Eikitike, and his agent, Karl Mwalako Buchmann, appeared to be using that interest to leverage a better deal out of Newcastle. However, since Newcastle walked away no move has been made by either club leaving Ekitike with no options.

Would You Still Take Ekitike?

Yeah, it's not his fault

Nah, he had his chance

The whole ongoing debacle just reeks of a young kid being given terrible advice by an agent or family member who knows nothing about the game other than how lucrative it is, and instead of letting the lad develop naturally and progress, they’re just filling him with false hopes and it’s this kind of talk that can absolutely ruin careers.

So now it is definitely time to move on and we will watch from afar what happens to this promising career, let’s hope he wakes up and gets himself a new agent before this one runs him into the ground.
