Last season, as Rafael Benitez showed just what a class manager he is by orchestrating Newcastle’s survival in the Premier League, the emergence of Martin Dubravka was a key-point in what could be very much perceived as a successful season.
Thankfully, although the Newcastle support are looking to who the club can bring n this summer, the Newcastle hierarchy have managed to successfully conclude the negotiations to secure the services of Dubravka on a permanent basis.
News has broken, as reported by the BBC, that the Serbian international has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal.
It is news that has been well received on the social networks a few selected tweets, shown below, highlighting that fact;
Great start to the summer recruitment #dubravka #nufc https://t.co/0FpdQfWRnw

The first of many summer signings hopefully.
Continuing,
£4m for any player is a bargain these days but to get one with the strong box command and safe hands is a steal… and it means Rafa has saved more £££ to pursue other players hopefully #Dubravka

I’ll not disagree with that.
Right, one great deal is done, who can we look forward to signing next?
Any suggestions in our comments facility would be most welcome.
