Some Newcastle United fans found themselves agreeing with the views of the former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan about the club’s ongoing takeover talks.
Speaking on his talkSPORT show, Jordan believes that regardless of the moral outrage behind the deal, he says that it will be “very, very, very difficult” for the Premier League to block Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and their £300m takeover of the Tyneside club.
The deal has been on the verge of breaking down as The Guardian leaked the outcome of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and their investigation into this, stating they will hold PIF responsible for piracy in the Middle East.
Are you worried about the PL rejecting the takeover?
Absolutely!
No way..
Qatari broadcaster beIN Sports and Amnesty International have demanded that officials block the Saudis from having any involvement in the league due to their alleged unethical methods of business.
Bearing this in mind, supporters unwillingly agreed with Jordan and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan admitted that he is not fond of the talkSPORT host but agrees with him on this point.

Dare I say I’m warming to him? I’ve always slated him for ridiculous statements but he’s been talking sense recently
