Some Newcastle United fans have been giving their honest views on Magpies’ midfielder Jonjo Shelvey.
The 28-year-old has received a mixture of scrutiny and praise since his £12m move from Swansea City back in 2016.
During that time, he has managed to score 13 goals and provided 19 assists in 131 appearances for the Magpies, and played a big part in getting us back into the Premier League under Rafa Benitez’s watch after his first season in Tyneside.
Does Jonjo Shelvey deserve a new contract?

The former England international has scored five goals in 17 Premier League appearances during the current campaign and stuck up for manager Steve Bruce after his criticism when the 2019/20 season began.
Taking all of this into consideration, supporters could not to an agreement on Shelvey and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he is “criminally underrated”, while another disagreed by saying that he is “capable of so much more”.
