Benitez Set For Crunch Meeting With Newcastle Hierarchy

|

Lurking in the pages of the media this morning is an interesting suggestion.

Our good friends, over at the Telegraph, are reporting that the club are set to hold talks with Rafael Benitez.

According to our referenced source, the aim of these talks is to sit down with the Spaniard and discuss the budget that the Spaniard will be given for the January transfer window.

It seems that, finally, it has dawned on the club that they are in serious danger of losing Rafael if they don’t satisfy his needs.

But, considering the manner in which the club has operated recently and with the long-term ownership of the club still open to debate, I can’t help wondering just what sort of sum the club will promise our gaffer.

Will it be:

1 – A absolute pittance with which he’s expected to perform miracles.

2 – A couple of million to spend that might, by magic, lift us into the middle of the table.

3 – A budget of sufficient size that will match the ambition of our Rafael who surely deserves to be treated better.

Which one do you foresee?

1, 2, or 3?
