Rafa Benitez has instructed managing director Lee Charnley to find Rolando Aarons a new club, according to the Northern Echo.
It is believed the 22-year-old has been offered to a number of Championship clubs with the EFL loan window closing at the end of the month.
Aarons was selected in a couple of pre-season friendlies by Rafa but his name wasn’t on the list of players registered with the Premier League for the new season.
The ex England youth international has struggled with injuries and other issues in recent seasons, and it looks like the player has no future at St James’ Park.
Aarons did manage six starts during his loan spell at Serie A side Verona last campaign, but he failed to make an impact, with no goals or assists as the Italian side were relegated.
The winger has three years remaining on his contract at the club with his current deal expiring in 2021.
