Newcastle may have received a significant transfer boost with the news that Rangers are prepared to begin looking for a replacement for Alfredo Morelos, according to GOAL.
Steve Bruce is thought to be a big fan of the Columbia international but his interest was waved away by the Glasgow outfit in January, with Rangers then harbouring title ambitions.
That has since passed, and after once again proving himself to be far too good for the SPFL with 29 goals this term, Morelos could be interested in a move away.
Should we sign Alfredo Morelos?
Yes
No
GOAL report that a number of teams in the UK and abroad, including the Magpies, Inter Milan and Aston Villa, are all monitoring the situation.
A proposed fee of just £13m would make him a very realistic target and one that could help us kick on next season, though several supporters have voiced opposition to bringing him in.
That is mostly due to his terrible discipline, having been sent off seven times in his Rangers career, leading one fan to compare him to Aleksandar Mitrovic.
If he can’t do it at rangers he won’t be able to do it at a big club in a proper league! #nufc

Christ no. Talented, but is an absolute liability as regards cards. Too much of a risk.

He’s a liability who doesn’t do it against Celtic.

“Drops to £13M” give it a rest! He is a liability that has not scored this year- no thanks.
