“Zero improvement” – These Newcastle fans deliver harsh assessment of influential figure

|

“Almost as if he is a bad coach?” – A lot of Newcastle United fans are unhappy with the inconsistency that appears to plague us.

Before last night’s match, we had won two in a row and only lost once in five – yet we turned up and were too passive, allowing Aston Villa to have possession of the ball very deep in our half before we engaged them.

The plan was then to find Allan Saint-Maximin or Joelinton, who often had no support and had to take on three or four defenders on their own.

The tactics in the first half were too negative, and we were punished for this by two Villa goals from set-pieces – which was even more annoying.

In the second half, we had a go and forced Tom Heaton into two saves, but we had Martin Dubravka to thank for denying them even more goals.

The annoying thing is that this was the perfect opportunity to climb up the table and keep some momentum going, but we were awful.

In fact, the display reminded me of the Leicester City game, no organisation, and no threat.

It is a good job we aren’t playing Manchester City next oh wait we are.

Is Steve Bruce doing a good job?

Yes

No

Let’s hope for an improved performance, or it could get embarrassing on Saturday.

These Newcastle fans are fuming at the inconsistency and the tactics from Bruce.
