“You are the man saint” – A lot of Newcastle United fans absolutely loved Allan Saint-Maximin’s interview on BBC Newcastle.
The French winger spoke for over an hour on the station’s sports program Total Sport.
At one point, the 22-year-old was asked if he was bothered about not scoring yet he responded by saying, “I only care if we win I don’t give a f*** if I don’t score.”
The presenter quickly had to apologise to the listeners and asked ASM if his teammates had taught him that word, but he said that he had learned it himself.
John Anderson, BBC Newcastle’s co-commentator, found the whole thing hilarious as did numerous Toon fans.
After the interview, Saint-Maximin recorded a quick piece for the official Twitter feed in which he apologised for swearing live on air.
Is Saint-Maximin your current favourite Newcastle player?
Yes, he has made a great impression
No, I like him but prefer others
The interview was funny and informative and has only strengthened the love for a player who is quickly becoming a firm favourite on Tyneside.
