Toon tracking PSV bright star

|

The Chronicle has reported that Newcastle United, like the 3 wise men are following a bright star.

The Toon are amongst a host of Premier League clubs keeping tabs on PSV winger Noni Madueke.

That is according to 90min.com, who claim Tottenham, Wolves, Everton, Leicester City and Leeds United are also keen on the young winger, who could leave PSV this summer.

Madueke is an England U21 international and spent time in Spurs’ academy as a youngster. He has scored 18 goals and provided 14 assists in 70 appearances for the Dutch side, but spent a large part of last season on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

He is currently valued at £16.2m on Transfermarkt and could come in and do a job, wether he wants a move to the premiership remains to be seen at this point.  His Contract with PSV expires: Jun 30, 2025 and no doubt there will be the usual Toon Tax likely to be added to any approach.

Newcastle only have Kieran Trippier and Jacob Murphy considered able to run the right wing with Trippier being more comfortable in the  Right back position. If we could secure Madueke for under £20m he would be a valued addition to the squad and possibly another player who would benefit from Eddie Howes management style.

Eriksen offered deal

Newcastle United have offered a deal to Christian Eriksen with his deal having expired at Brentford. That is according to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, who claims that while there is a chance he remains with the Bees, Newcastle are among the clubs to have made a play to sign him.
