These Newcastle United fans exploded in excitement after Tariq Al Nofal commented on our proposed takeover.
The Saudi Arabian journalist simply commented on Twitter, “Newcastle became reality” as the St James Park faithful anxiously wait for updates regarding the highly-anticipated departure of retail tycoon Mike Ashley.
This follows reports from the Daily Mail on Monday, which claimed that the consortium led by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), and backed by Amanda Staveley and the Reuben brothers.

Having said this, there has been no official confirmation of any deal taking place having paid Mike Ashley a non-refundable £17m deposit. This more or less tells us that the prospect of Ashley leaving has moved that inch closer that we have all wanted for many years.
