Toney is Money- Big Money

|

Ivan Toney has massively improved since his spell at St James’ Park but would Newcastle really want to pay close to £40m for the Brentford forward? He bagged 12 goals and five assists last term and is someone the Bees desperately want to keep ahold of.

Toney impressed during his spell at Newcastle and many fans were bemused at the decision to let him go without really being given a chance. Toney is one of a number of strikers just below the top tier of established internationals who have had huge price tags applied to them this summer especially when being touted or linked to Newcastle but is he worth the out lay?

Are we done for the Window?

Yes- we won't get anymore decent players in now!

As stated in Inews  It doesn’t help that the club are pitching for players with multiple options. Hugo Ekitike’s lukewarm response to Newcastle’s approach was disappointing; the player earned his “dream move” to Paris Saint Germain, signing a season-long loan with an option to buy over the weekend.

Newcastle, who do not want to start the season relying solely on Callum Wilson to shoulder the scoring burden, may look to structure similar deals.

Eddie Howe said: “I think the transfer market in general is very difficult. To sign top quality players – which is the area that we’re in now – is very difficult to do because you need a club willing to sell, you need the player to want to come to your club and there’s lots of things that go into making that happen.”

Some recruitment sources believe Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca will emerge as a target for Premier League clubs. He scored 16 times in Serie A last season and is priced around £30million.
