Manchester United will make their official bid for Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, according to a report from ChronicleLive.
The article suggests that now the Red Devils have tied up the deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, they will now switch their focus to the Magpies player.
Longstaff has only made nine Premier League appearances for the Tyneside club but the 21-year-old is wanted by United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the Norwegian continues to revamp his squad.
Longstaff only made his league debut in December and played for eight consecutive matches before suffering a season-ending injury against West Ham.
Newcastle are yet to buy any players of their own this summer, but as reported on Wednesday by The Sun, the club could face a player exodus as many want to follow Rafa Benitez through the exit at St. James’ Park.
The fans were quick to react to the news on social media and in no uncertain terms voiced their anger towards the club, with some admitting they’ve simply given up.
Things could all change, of course. If the takeover can be completed, it would offer the long-suffering Newcastle fans some relief.

Without Rafa there anymore to say no to selling Longstaff I wonder what Lee Charnley will do when offers arrive..
The club has lost the only security it had.
3rd relegation under the Mike Ashley relegation model is coming.
Great model Mike????????
