The Newcastle manager search will be conducted by just one person, Managing Director Lee Charnley, according to The ChronicleLive.

The report claims over half of the Premier League clubs have sporting director’s or technical director’s to oversee these type of decisions, while Newcastle relies on one executive.

They referred to it as a ‘quirk’ but the Newcastle fans on social media were much harsher in their assessment of the situation. The report claims the club have no sporting or technical director but also no Chairman or CEO.

The Magpies fans are still very angry with the club for allowing Rafa Benitez to leave and are just as annoyed with the list of potential replacements.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, and Patrick Vieira have all been linked, according to The Telegraph, but some of the fans do not believe the club would pay for a manager that is already in a job and instead fear that they will look for the cheapest option.

Right now it is difficult to see which appointment could appease the Newcastle supporters who used the report to vent their frustration at the club.
