Third Time Lucky?

|

After having 2 bids rejected for the Tom Daly wannabe James Maddison, is it time to put in a 3rd and final offer?

Many fans are asking would he be an upgrade on Willock? The owners have said that they are receptive to players in any position that improve the team if they are available, and not exorbitant cost wise.

Have we been alerted to Leicester wanting to cash in? It is also rumoured that Maddison fancies the move to the Toon however some outlets are saying he favours the move South to Spurs.

Is it time for Maddison to take the dive

Yes- Goodbye your an expensive luxury

No-lets make another bid and get him in

Leicester need cash to spend, whilst they have a lot of saleable assets there don’t seem to be many takers for their current crop. Given we are not likely to exceed the £50M current offer, again many fans are asking why don’t we go for Paqueta or why didn’t we pay the £60m for Diaby, a player who is young, hungry and actually fills a position we need covered badly?

As we all know, Eddie Howe likes to play his 4-3-3, so where would Maddison fit into this formation? Is the Shelvey injury worse that we actually know and are we  looking for injury cover in midfield? There are definitely more questions than answers at the minute.

I’d personally hope to get a top-level striker in at whatever cost as this is where we are most exposed currently, I don’t believe any Magpie fan believes we will get a full tariff of matches out of Callum Wilson and at some point he will be on the physio’s bench.  The next few days are going to be critical to Newcastle’s success this season and yet again we Toon fans will have to strap into the Toon Rollercoaster ride starting on Saturday against Notts Forest.

Up next……..Meet the Fans
