Loads of Newcastle United fans have been left reeling after a fresh takeover twist emerged over the weekend.

According to the Daily Mail, the Premier League will seek further answers from Saudi’s public investment fund (PIF) about TV pirate issues in the Middle Eastern country.

PIF agreed to buy 80% of the northeast outfit from Mike Ashley over two months ago, meaning the top-flight have sat on the decision for much longer than expected.

It’s claimed that the consortium has already faced a barrage of queries about beoutQ, a pirate satellite streaming service that illegally broadcasts sporting events, including the Premier League, to its customers.

Do you think the takeover will happen?

Yes, be patient!

No, Ashley ploy!

No, Ashley ploy!

The Guardian revealed that a World Trade Organisation report had found the Saudi state to be involved in the service, thus creating this problem.

Now that there’s seemingly a further delay to the situation, fans have been reacting in their droves on social media.

Some members of the St James’ Park faithful were “bored” of the process, which is quite understandable given just how long it has already taken whilst others were starting to worry if the deal would even happen.
