Yesterday it came to light that Hearts of Midlothian were after taking Newcastle’s new signing, Garang Kuol on loan following his arrival in the UK, and now it’s looking like that may well be his destination.
Garang Kuol received his UK work permit before jetting off from his home in Australia to come to Newcastle, which changed the original plan. Kuol was going to be loaned out to a European club to get some game time and to boost his points to help him get a work permit for the UK, but his appearances in the World Cup for Australia meant he met the criteria to obtain the visa without having to go to the continent first.
It does seem, however, that the club are sticking with the plan to loan the young striker out in order to get more game time instead of having him on our bench or playing for our reserves, and now it looks like he’s heading for Edinburgh after being spotted north of the border.

Kuol was seen here being shown around the grounds of Hearts’ training complex adding fuel to the fire.
A move to Scotland will be a great one for Kuol, he should get the game time he needs while also getting to adjust to the climate of the UK which is vastly different to what he’s been used to in Australia.
Fingers crossed all goes well for him up there and he sets the Scottish Premiership alight.
