“From What I’m Hearing” – Journalist Gives Unfortunate Injury Update

|

Craig Hope of the Daily Mail has said that he fears Saturday’s game may be too soon for a return for Allan Saint-Maximin.

Wor Maxi has been missing for two games so far, and it’s looking like he’s not going to be ready to face The Cherries on Saturday despite Eddie Howe’s claims on 2nd September that Saint-Maximin was “close” to a return.

Hope did say in a reply to a fan that it looks more hopeful on Bruno Guimaraes, so at least we have the return of one creative force, and a new avenue for that killer final ball to Alexander Isak that we’ve been lacking.

This does leave the door open for Elliot Anderson to start, however, ahead of either Miguel Almiron or Ryan Fraser with Bruno replacing Sean Longstaff in the middle.

Is It Time To Start Anderson?

Yes

Yes

Not yet

A home fixture against one of the league’s struggling sides seems like the perfect time to give Anderson his first start, surely. His cameos have got the Toon Army excited to see more, and I’ve personally been shouting for him to start ahead of the likes of Sean Longstaff for weeks now, so hopefully, Eddie Howe feels like now is the time to see exactly what the kid is made of.

Howe will of course, speak to the media tomorrow morning where we will get more information regarding injuries etc, so fingers will be crossed for good news.
