Plenty of Newcastle fans have reacted on Twitter after Garth Crooks recommended that Martin Dubravka should be the next Chelsea goalkeeper.
The former Spurs and Stoke striker wrote about Chelsea’s need for a new man between the sticks within his Team of the Week piece on BBC Sport. Going on further, he stated that Frank Lampard’s side should take a look at the Slovakian 31-year-old to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga – Chelsea’s all-time most expensive signing of all time and the most expensive goalkeeper ever.
The ‘keeper is now into his third season in the Premier League and has been capped 76 times, registering a pretty impressive 22 clean sheets.
Obviously, whether Chelsea would want a 31-year-old to take over the shirt of Kepa is a whole different question, but one thing is for sure – Newcastle fans want Crooks to keep his gob shut.
As you can read from many of the replies, there was a pretty varied response. Some fans suggested that Crooks keeps quiet, while others joked that surely he would be too expensive for Chelsea.
Here are some of the responses…
And Dubravka deserves to play in a better team.

If Ashley can make a bit of coin out of him he’s gone.

With Newcastle looking more and more likely to stay in the division next year, there will be no real need to sell a player as vital as this.
If a big club did come in with a juicy offer, then the club might be forced to consider it, however it doesn’t seem too likely bearing in mind his age.
